(4/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web)
Unwind in the quaint seaside neighborhood of Barcola, where the saltwater breeze permeates the air, fishing boats line the harbor, and gelato stands line the shore. Quiet and charming, the area is ideal for long walks to take in the scenic view or swimming and sunbathing on tanning platforms. Enjoy an abundant choice of great local food at the many local restaurants. Consider visiting the nearby Miramare Castle, a 19th-century citadel and popular tourist destination. • Location at the outskirts of Trieste, in addition to offering a beautiful panorama during the hot months is the "beach" of Trieste. It's very picturesque, in fact, see the sidewalks of this neighborhood, filled with towels and sunbeds by people intent on sunbathing or swim in the water. Lends itself to walking and jogging.

  • The Trieste does not go to the Sea (unlike the Italian medium), the Trieste goes to the bathroom, because the sea is already there. From Trieste you can go to the "bathroom" by bus (once there was the tram), Barcola. All along the road from bus terminal (piazzale 11 September) at Miramare Castle, there is a long promenade that summer is filled with swimmers who can make free use of the showers and also for steps to overcome the row of rocks. Of course the promenade is popular all year round: who runs at all times, walkers, people pushing baby carriages.

  • Place for bathing in the countryside, would be treated a little more (about garbage) often present in the Park, nice though in all seasons, you can take advantage of winter to go for a run, lovely view of Trieste with many bars where you can take a break.
