  • A beautiful Sunday with children not only have never bored but also have continued to ask questions on the way back. Nice Castle and good driving. A word of advice: bring something "heavy" to wear because within the temperature is from the cave!

  • After a visit to the Taccani hydroelectric power here we are at the entrance to the little park that introduces us to what's left of this impressive fortification. The location was highly strategic, thanks to a double bend of the Adda and according to tradition at that point there was a fortress that belonged to Queen Theodelinda. also the same Emperor Barbarossa, during its descent into Italy, he exploited the military qualities, building his imperial seat. It was then a frontier point located right on the dividing line between the Duchy of Milan and the powerful Republic of Venice. It was built at the behest of Bernabò Visconti and in this mysterious place they say died poisoned at the hands of his nephew Gian Galeazzo. Today the castle we could admire the square Tower, high 42 meters, wonderful views from its Summit, but the climb, as facilitated by wide steps in metal is not for the ... heart patients. Very striking underground also reminiscent of (small) those of Palazzo Ducale in Urbino and well built in 1400; but the engineering masterpiece was the bold only one arch bridge linking the two banks of the river Adda, of which today only the shoulder and the attack: the bridge was destroyed after only thirty years from Carmagnola during a siege (very exhaustive Plastique rebuilding as originally presented the fortress). Thanks to Claudia, our very knowledgeable guide, this visit was fully appreciated. Absolutely worth visiting.

  • There is a picturesque landscape that offers the park along with the remains of the Visconti Castle. A green frame for wonderful walks and a fantastic panoramic view from the top of the tower.
