  • The square is not huge, but it's cute. The thing that struck me most was her vivacity. The Trevigiani experience really as nerve centre of the city in fact is always buzzing and there are some interesting places to eat or drink. The atmosphere is just a delight.

  • Il salotto di Treviso where stands the "Palazzo dei 300" now Council room of the municipal administration. The Palace was built around 1185 as boardroom of the different organs of the city of Treviso, replacing the old building near the Cathedral; its completion dates to 1268, when it was brought to fruition even an adjacent building used as a prison. In 1944 the Palace was then the victim of a bombing that caused severe damage to the structure and the frescoes of the salon, so much so that initially it prefigured the hypothesis of complete demolition]. Thanks to the intervention of then-Superintendent Ferdinand Forlati, it was decided to proceed with the restoration of the surviving walls and rebuilding a hopelessly collapsed the roof and battlements motif, but rebuilt foggia guelfa. A row of bricks backwards in relation to the perimeter walls still allows to distinguish original from those walls rebuilt portions. Piazza and not to be missed if you are visiting the city.

  • Piazza dei Signori is the palazzo della Signoria Treviso where he was gathering place for both legal and financial dealings. Note in the walls of the lodge right as a sign that distinguishes old from that rebuilt after WWII bombing. Worth a look even the loggia dei trecento at about a hundred metres from piazza dei Signori
