  • The Church was built by the Friars Minor during the 13th century. In Romanesque style with some Gothic influences, preserves numerous frescoes of XIII-XIV centuries: particularly striking the Madonna with child and seven Saints by Tommaso da Modena. The Church houses the tombs of Pietro Alighieri and Francesca Petrarca.

  • In this church are the tombs of some famous people, such as Pietro Alighieri and Francesca Petrarca, the more importantos. The first, son of Dante Alighieri, was a judge and poet based in Verona and died in Treviso in 1364. The second was the daughter of Francesco Petrarca, who died in childbirth in 1384. On the outside there is a beautiful statue of San Francisco smiling next to the birds.

  • The Church dates back to the beginning of the 1200 and the wealthy families and important took its own chapel in this church. The Church, at the end of 1700, was transformed into a barn to works of Napoleon's troops. It was reopened for worship after a long restoration in the 1930s. The Church has a very simple structure with a Latin cross plan and two naves: the largest is higher and wider than the other. Different, but both pleasant, the two ceilings. On the left wall, one can admire a fresco depicting Saint Christopher, a Byzantine-Romanesque work the end of 1200. Beautiful painting of the four evangelists that is located in the main Chapel. In the first chapel on the left is a delightful fresco depicting the Madonna with child and seven Saints, dates from the middle of the 1300. The same period is the fresco Madonna and four saints, placed in the second chapel on the left. Interesting tombs found in the Church. Remember that of Pietro Alighieri, son of the great poet and that of Francesca Petrarca, daughter of Francesco Petrarca, who died in late 1300. Outside there is the statue of San Francesco, a contemporary work.
