  • It was built in a central area of the city and its origins date back to the sixth century although the Romanesque structure is of the year 1000. At the end of 1700 was rebuilt in neo-classical and the façade is. There is a wide staircase that terminates in an airy six-column portico. The sides of the staircase are the two lions of red marble. This is the ancient Romanesque portal, rediscovered and reconstructed inside, placed against the façade. The Interior is impressive, has three naves, with three apses and several side chapels. Under the apse is the crypt, clear and bright, with the tombs of the bishops in the city. In the cathedral include tombs of Saints and martyrs. Very beautiful are the chapel of our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament and, above all, that of the Annunciation or di Caravaggio. The latter view frescoes by Pordenone on the walls and the dome. Titian is the altarpiece of the Annunciation. See also the altar of Pope Pius X with a bronze statue. Of great artistic interest part of the chancel and high altar. He looks stubby the square bell tower with a nice watch. Not forgetting the canonical houses that now houses the Diocesan Museum and the Biblioteca Capitolare. Please take a long time: you will see very nice things.

  • Cathedral worth a visit and watch from the inside. I recommend you watch it from the outside from different places.
