  • The frescoes by Lorenzo Lotto give the small and austere Chapel the connotation of a refined place of great art and spirituality. The stories told by Lotto show us-besides the wonderful artist that we know-a cultured person, characterized by intense religiosity and open to the future, and by the great humanity. A masterpiece not to be missed.

  • An artistic Marvel for those (like me) is a little uninformed. essential to book a visit to the Oratorio Suardi, so that we can make use of the Guide, which tells in detail the various frescoes by Lorenzo Lotto. Not to be missed.

  • The frescoes of the lot look very impressive in the narrative force. However the quality doesn't do justice to the artist's genius, perhaps because, in my view, of no great site maintenance. The frescoes are partly damaged, suffering from the cold and humidity of the environment that hosts them and betray a poor standard of care. A lady pointed out so personable and engaging history of the frescos and their iconography, but without making any reference to historical-artistic and stylistic aspects. I would like to point out that the website of Pro Loco di Trescore Balneario lacks the detail on the cost of the visit which is 8 euro (the visit lasts about 45 minutes). Inside the oratory and the park surrounding it is strictly forbidden to take pictures as it is still private property belonging to the counts Suardi. From late November to mid March the Chapel is closed to the public ("... because it's freezing": these are the words of our Guide).
