Trapani - Erice, Trapani
(4.7/5 based on 3,000+ reviews on the web)
Trapani - Erice connects Trapani to the medieval mountaintop town of Erice along a 3,099 m (10,167 ft) long cable. Cables cars with eight seats run along a single looping cable. There are special cars for people with disabilities and for bicycles. Erice perches on a rocky mountain often wreathed in clouds. The difficulty in accessing Erice has rendered it something of a time capsule, with its medieval castle and stony churches. Narrow cobblestone streets host quaint shops and small restaurants, which serve cannoli and other Italian delicacies. Soak in views of Sicily and the sea at every turn. You also can reach Erice via a winding road. Put Trapani - Erice into our Trapani family vacation planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Trapani.

  • Take the cable-car to go i up, walk around the stone-paved streets, enjoy the lookouts over Trapani and the coast- a most pleasant way to spend a couple of hours!
  • I will not be original and join the General excitement over this place. Fantastic location on the high mountain climate, very old, cramped streets of wyślizganej stone, lots of old, small churches. It is best to peacefully wander around the town, look in the side streets and a few churches. From many vantage points in the fantastic views. Pleasant is the entrance queue from Trapani. At the lower terminus of the there is a large car park.

  • Erice, especially at NIGHT and during "LOW SEASON", has an atmosphere simply unique and indescribable. Medieval streets which is nice and fun getting lost, an oasis of peace light years away from neighboring cities. Do not recommend to get there by car (among other things all car parks are-rightly-paying) Board rather than take the panoramic cableway from Trapani or-even better-use public bus AST from Trapani or from Valderice (are much cheaper and in case of strong wind circulate smoothly, unlike the cableway) for meals, I recommend to get away from the high street to find lower prices and-most importantly-better quality and typicality of the products.
