Trapani - Erice, Trapani
(4.7/5 based on 3,200+ reviews on the web)
Trapani - Erice connects Trapani to the medieval mountaintop town of Erice along a 3,099 m (10,167 ft) long cable. Cables cars with eight seats run along a single looping cable. There are special cars for people with disabilities and for bicycles. Erice perches on a rocky mountain often wreathed in clouds. The difficulty in accessing Erice has rendered it something of a time capsule, with its medieval castle and stony churches. Narrow cobblestone streets host quaint shops and small restaurants, which serve cannoli and other Italian delicacies. Soak in views of Sicily and the sea at every turn. You also can reach Erice via a winding road. Put Trapani - Erice into our Trapani family vacation planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Trapani.

  • I was in the area of Marsala and Erice and Trapani. I can say that they are really beautiful places. As summer vacation for families it is ideal: the sea is really beautiful. Erice I visited during the day and I used the chair lift, panorama beautiful village. I wish everyone could do this route as destination to relaxation and enjoyment. Visit the cantine Florio, the salt pans, the island of Mozia

  • We climbed in Erice by cable car that offers a nice panorama.il village is quaint with churches, narrow streets and little shops. Shame about the fog did not allow us to fully appreciate the view from castello del Balio
