  • The Church is located outside the old town proper, although central, behind via Fardella and inside the garden side. The exterior is characterized by a portal surmounted by a canopy in a radial pattern and the belfry in Baroque-Renaissance. Inside is housed in a special Chapel, the famous statue of the Madonna of Trapani, in western Sicily. Besides being a symbol of faith, the statue is a real work of art as well as the Chapel itself in polychrome marble mix and tramischi and the adjacent altar of St Albert, also a triumph of Baroque marble. Shame about the opening leaving blank a wide band of the early afternoon. The Church is closed from 12 to 16 and closing the keepers are very present at least 10 minutes before the tax schedule should not stay behind the gates (there was already a successful first time) ... and there are no saints or Madonnas that take!

  • Great monument of Christianity, full of artistic presence and drenched by an atmosphere of great religiosity.

  • From the center of Trapani 2-away 3 km East. Mother and child statue before the marble is a long line, lined up about 20 minutes or so. I finally faced the marble statue, large, shiny & smooth, was genuinely impressed as you can. Deeply religious local people, touching the statue of was or kiss. This church is not to be missed.
