  • From this beautiful villa, rich in history, where he lived the last years of his life, Giacomo Leopardi, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples while behind supervises the Majesty of Mount Vesuvius. Congratulations to the Association of the vesuvian villas, which keeps alive and well maintained, the garden and the orchard ...

  • Striking is the country villa where for a time he lived there he wrote famous poems Leopards. Some things may perhaps be valued more. While doing the ticket, for example, you may not pay any attention to cases that are located at the counter, with the touching funeral cast plaster of the great poet, and objects of interest, which could be placed in one of the spaces of the villa are empty or nearly so. There may be seats for viewing the video (before there was another one, which is also interesting) arriving tired or anything and it's a shame that there isn't more multimedia projection of the landscape with the broom. The helpful person at the ticket booth made from Nice drive though maybe, although there is no generally believe many visitors, the ticket office remains so no staff but will have maybe their systems to set. Anyway the guy goes up to start the video. There could be written information and signage for a guided tour. The House offers many special insights and thus the evocative view around.

  • Villa delle Ginestre (formerly Carafa-Farooq), is one of the vesuvian villas of the 18th century, among those not aligned along the golden mile, located on the Hill of Camaldoli, in the hamlet of Leopards of the municipality of Torre del Greco. The villa is also linked to the biography of Giacomo Leopardi, who spent the last season of his life, and composed some works, including the famous La ginestra. The building was built in the eighteenth century by Canon Joseph Saini. In the nineteenth century the villa passed to the family Farooq. In 1836 Antonio Ranieri played host to his friend Giacomo Leopardi, who stayed there until shortly before his death (which occurred in Naples), and wrote several thoughts, moonset and broom, lyric by which the villa was named. Included in the ente Ville Vesuviane is situated at the foot of Vesuvius that overlooks it.

  • Lovely Villa, breathtaking location from where you can admire the Gulf from Sorrento to Naples with Capri stretch through the middle. Staff very well learned and site where often carry out activities and various events ranging from singing to cultural ones. To visit and not only out of duty to the illustrious leopards.

  • Very nice location, behind the Vesuvius and along the Gulf with Capri. Kept very well, only thing way from there, a walk through the countryside, its not nice to do is see.

  • Very nice and interesting and very knowledgeable and erudite the person receiving the public in villa. I would say almost in love with his work. Bravissimo!

  • Beautiful and well maintained, unfortunately, not easy for everyone to reach. Beautiful views of the Gulf and the looming volcano. Leafless environments, but just the room decorated by Giacomo Leopardi to feel down in character. Passionate storyteller the friendly caretaker who, with his stories, twists it all school knowledge! At the end of the visit, one realizes that, perhaps, we kinda all "Leopards"! June 2016
