Del tutto per caso, seguendo amici invitati a loro volta da un amico, abbiamo potuto ammirare da vicino la basilica di San Nicola, attualmente chiusa al culto a causa delle lesioni provocare dal sisma... more »Quite by accident, following friends invited in turn from a friend, we could admire the basilica of San Nicola, currently closed for worship due to the injuries cause by the earthquake by the end of October 2016. This site, most are not crowded, where first hour masses for fear of collapse, with its beautiful frescoes, all incerottati after the earthquake, has really expressive images. Worth admiring in particular the frescoes in the "Chapel", but also the quiet of the cloister and the aisles of the Church. As pointed out a local what impresses you, besides the silence, the cold that now pervades the Church. We hope to be restored soon, thanks to local initiatives, in order to be admired by all.
E' una delle chiese più belle d'Italia. magnificamente retta dai frati, offre conforto all'anima, senza trascurare il piacere per l'occhio. Vi si venera un santo "somarello" ma fortemente miracoloso. more »It is one of the most beautiful churches in Italy. magnificently run by friars, offers solace to the soul, not to mention the pleasure for the eye. There is venerated a Saint "colt" but heavily miraculous.

Fantastic place to visit
Is one of the most amazing experiences of Le Marche, retains an incredible number of works of art and architecture of the place is unique in Italy.
Currently the basilica is closed and under renovation because of an earthquake in 2016. Tentatively has been set up in a church located just behind the basilica and built with a marquee. The urn of St. Nicholas can be visited in a small chapel located laterally to this. We hope to be restored soon this artistic and architectural Marvel, as well as religious.
One of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen, from Romanesque through the centuries is transformed, thanks to patrons like the Bishop Gb Visconti, and other Knights tolentinesi. There are many interesting topics like the Chapel frescoed by Pietro da Rimini a pupil of Giotto or paintings by Guercino and other great artists, on the portal of Dantas, the façade of Ascani and Orlandi, The cloister, the Museum with paintings, furniture and pottery and much more great taste to surprise you.
