  • Having been to Rome four or five times we knew we wanted to tour somewhere outside the city so we arranged with My Best Tour for a driver/tour guide to take us to Tivoli to see Villa d' Este. We were ...  more »
  • First we doubted whether to visit Villa dasta, but later revered reviews and decide. And have not regretted. Stunningly beautiful gardens, magnificent fountains, magnificent parks and beautiful architecture of the Villa and unforgettable original works of art. Impressions the most indelible. Yes and we have got here this afternoon when all the parks and fon'any were filled not with flaming rays of the evening sun. Wandering three hours and got a lot of fun. Very recommend to visit this wonderful place.

  • Located in Tivoli, about 30 km from Rome, arrive by subway + bus (from Termini to Ponte Mammolo station, where you buy your tickets to the Cotral bus). It is a Palace with huge garden, filled with countless wonderful and worthwhile sources for pictures and hiking for a few hours.

  • This is a really nice Villa with a lot of fountains and a huge garden. At first you think, it costs a bit much, so how could can it be? But it's worth it! You can walk down the whole hill, hundreds of fountains and ponds. With a very nice view as well. Unfortunately you need to walk back up the hill to get out of the garden.
  • I have never been to a more stunning, beautiful and romantic place. Villa d'Este was the second garden of the day that we had visited, and Rome definitely saved the best until last. Due to spending a lot of the day at Hadrian's Villa, it was quite late when we arrived at Villa d'Este. This made for a spectacular moment, when we watched the sunset over Italy from a high point on the grounds. We visited about two hours before closing, which meant that it almost felt like we had the garden to ourselves, as there weren't many people about. We wondered the grounds at our own pace taking in every sight, smell, and sound. It was truly memorable. Villa d'Este is A MUST DO, no question.
  • Very interesting place. A baroque styled house that in incredible on it's own, but then leads you into a huge garden area filled with a multitude of fountains and statues. You can do this on your own w/o a guide. IT will take about 3-4 hours max.
  • A 1500s estate, with an amazing collection of fountains and gardens! Try to stay for sunset, and you will be rewarded with a beautiful sunset directly over Vatican City and Saint Peter's Basilica
  • It is an amazing place, with beautiful fountains. It has classic art gallery within it. It takes almost 3/4th day to enjoy this place, hence plan accordingly.
