  • This beautiful church is the oldest medieval temple in the city of Tivoli. The church is dedicated to Pope Saint Silvestro, a legendary character linked to the historical episode of the Donation of Constantine, engaged in transforming the main pagan basilicas into Christian monuments. When you are in Tivoli come and see this magnificent work.
  • Beautiful 11 century church with Romanesque architecture and a byzantine fresco. It is a nice quiet walk away from the hustle and bustle of Villa d'Este. Well worth your time if you want a peaceful stroll.
  • Incredible Byzantine Church with exaptional frescos
  • Since it is on the edge of the historic center, in a street where you pass only to go to the sanctuary of Hercules the winner, it is not very busy but represents a jewel of the medieval era which, although remodeled, retains a splendidly frescoed apse with clear colors that can be seen very well even without artificial lighting (spend a euro to turn on the lights entering to the right, if you don't want to complain). The internal apparatus suggests that it is a chosen venue for weddings. The bell tower is beautiful, the facade is modest, there is also a crypt that cannot be visited. Look at the photos and videos that I have posted and the other reviews on Tivoli and Rome and its wonders that I have done and if I have been useful click on useful.
  • The fresco on the apse is very beautiful, but poorly lit. Still worth a visit
