Murales di Tinnura, Tinnura
(5/5 based on 15+ reviews on the web)
See the murals of a village that highlight the rural lifestyle of the area at Murales di Tinnura. The facades of the houses of the village are decorated with realistic murals that were painted with expert craftsmanship by the locals. Observe the art, which was made with trompe-l'oeil effects, simulating a 3-D look. Locals actually warn people to be careful when they drive through the village--some murals look so realistic that you can mistake the images for real people! Themes of agriculture, old crafts, and folklore are represented in about 30 door-to-door murals. You can buy local crafts at stalls next to the road and murals. Put Murales di Tinnura at the forefront of your travel plans using our Tinnura tour planner.

  • The picturesque village of Sardinia, not far from Bosa. Along its streets, on the facades of houses, you can admire beautiful murals created with the technique of "trompe l'oeil" narrating and peasant life activities of Sardinian culture. A girl kindly accepted at the info point by giving us the tour map and information on the content of the performance. Definitely not to be missed if you want to spend a few hours to the knowledge of the Sardinian hinterland, just as impressive and surprising as its magnificent sea ...

  • After years of holiday in this area, today we visited Tinnura, a very small country and very little advertised, but amazing! The murals are numerous, done very well (Kudos to the artists!) and are located along the main road and side seams. Though is around the country that deserves praise because it's spotless, flowery, edited, organized, people say hello and they stop to chat. We spent a very enjoyable morning and would recommend anyone visiting.

  • The beach of Porto Alabe near Bosa towards Macomer leaving we had to pass through the village of Tinnura. Already within the village and after a curve we had to stop at dry because we narrowly atropellamos to a Lord who was doing a photo on the wall of a House. The anger became surprise and then click amazement when we turn the head and saw what I was photographing. A mural incredibly drawn that represented a scene rural and occupied all the facade the House parked for see it best and we were fascinated by the realism of the scene. But is that the facade House from next door had another pretty equal or more, and another, and another one, up to a total of about 30. All of a beauty and a realism incredible. Us went of there after make you photos to all them murals (sometimes putting us in the middle of the road... of that I sounds), and with the feeling of have had much luck to the pass by this village. It is not in the tourist routes and perhaps that even you of more beauty to the murals. Since it is clear that they are made for the inhabitants of Tinnura. Think that if is is near Bosa or by the zone (we did the famous road of Alghero to Bosa) is essential go to this village.
