Join me and I'll open you the doors of Turano Valley one of the hidden gem of our region, where you can make a jump into the past, among small villages, lush nature, green mountains for a great hike within old trees, waterfalls to admire, huge castles to discover, blue lakes where you can swim/kayak/sailing, and more.I'll take on kayak on the lake (in summer) and hike our tracks until the peaks (not difficult -;) inside the Park, of which I'm an official Guide, telling lots of info about flora, fauna, history and legends of this unchanged Italy.I'll show you fantastic spots for your pictures and we'll meet together the locals. I'll host you for the night in one of the "Top 100's Italian villages", in an old stone house fully renovated, with fireplace and a big terrace overlooking the sunset, with an amazing lake view.So, take a break from the hustle and bustle and it will be one of the best memories you'll bring back with you

Tagliacozzo is a town and comune in the province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo, central Italy.HistoryTagliacozzo lies in an area inhabited in early historic times by the Aequi and the Marsi, although the first mentions of the town dates from the 11th century AD. Later it was a possession on the Orsini, who established a mint here. They were succeeded by the Colonna (local lords including Prospero and Marcantonio Colonna), who held the Duchy of Tagliacozzo until 1806.Near the modern city (more precisely, near Scurcola Marsicana) was fought the Battle of Tagliacozzo (1268) between Conradin of Hohenstaufen and Charles I of Anjou.Main sightsThe Palazzo Ducale, built by Roberto Orsini.The Convent of St. Francis, housing the tomb of Tommaso da Celano.Museo Orientale, with collections of Egyptian, Ethiopian and Eastern findings.13th century fountain in Piazza dell'Obelisco, a national monument.Sanctuary of Maria Santissima dell'Oriente, on a hill 3km from town.
