  • In the Castle, there were, until the early 90 's, dear uncles and cousins, descendants of the Builder and founder of ancient family originally from Cava de ' Tirreni, Salerno. For me, it was, however fascinating, the home of cousins, uncles, dear Don Gennaro and dear Madam (or woman) Rosaria. My poor aunt one day, ironically, I said ' for me it's just an old house ': in fact, as much as nice, that Castle was still a 150 years old building in many ways uncomfortable: to go up to the rooms, you had to climb a steep and narrow staircase, very uncomfortable to do several times a day. There was of course the warming that we have in our modern homes, natural gas, but gas stoves: town gas there was evidence that in the beautiful and traditional, there was an ordinary stove and oven; but not far away, there was one thing that as a child I was fascinated by a lot: a furnace with two burners with holes for stringing two pots for cooking. Lately, I told the kind and Dear Donna Rosaria, came on just to do the laundry soap. SOAP that was produced with the ashes of the two fireplaces, the '' living area '' of the Castle. the two chimneys were wonderful, the ' living room ' (let's call it that) had two cute stone lions on the sides and two comfortable seats to warm up, usually it was on just that: in that room there was the big tv, and it was the kids ' homework. Next door was the ' living room ', much more austere, with the chimney usually shut off, and here there were paintings, pictures provided by the somewhat bizarre frame that was my favorite and inside there was a drawing of a horsie conn a Cowgirl next door, and they were both very old. On the left, at the bottom there was a (real) full-sized armor that caused some fear. It was a room really austere, yet for me, too familiar, although strictly sofas and truly ancient (' 800) were uncomfortable ... But in the Middle, an ordinary table with glass cover, beautiful, and pregevolecon over an antique table cloth which was nice just admire: inevitable tarts above, of which I knew by heart the flavors ... I would continue for hours the description of this place so familiar as it is fascinating, but space is short and I risk being wordy, in the Castle, there were trap doors, from which access was gained at secret societies ': joke, actually the underworld was perfectly fit for use, and indeed, in the years 70 60 first was planted one that probably was also the first Night of Teramo (many fifty-sixty if remember) ... For me, today, the Castello della Monica, closed to the public, is a sad place admirable only from the outside, and in me is always vivid memories fond of uncles and cousins who lived there, and of those portentous days when I was almost goiornalmente to find and stop often all one afternoon ... The castle was restored externally, but is no longer the same, I liked it better, obviously as it was before ... The Castello Della Monica is a heritage of the city of Teramo invaluable, but I don't want to argue with anyone, though today it remains closed to the public, and perhaps with time running (incivility and vandalism) is better as well ... • Is perhaps the most deserving of the city day Teramo. The sin that is not nulla...la abbandonata....se tanto...ma talks about my idea be the seat of the regional body is a place for cultural initiatives

  • The five stars are given because I have rarely seen something so beautiful. The style, the shape and the apparent good condition potentially has itself something magical and amazing. Sin in the truest sense of the word that is closed, and in total State of disrepair, nestled in tall grass, bushes and trees left to themselves, covering the sumptuous palace.
