  • Both those who come to visit areas of the Euganean Hills, but especially those who live there, should for once come to visit this beautiful Abbey. For example, after many years (the last visit was a tour of elementary school) I came here with my fiance to visit it and again I was fascinated. Don't need no reservation to visit, and even no payment (perhaps an offer definitely is well accepted and well deserved). Almost every hour and almost every day (except Monday) you can visit it and tell you everything will be one of 35 Benedictine monks who live here. Just go to the one who is called "Hall of tourists" and wait for the monk who will guide you on a quick tour that includes three of the four monumental Abbey cloisters, refectory and Chapter House. For obvious reasons, it is not possible to visit all the parties mentioned by me, but the visit lasts about forty minutes and is always very interesting. As for other places of the Abbey as the library, the cellar (where fine wines are produced by monks) and the restoration of old books can be visited, but separately and must make a request by mail. In addition if someone can affect, the monks offer to those who are intrigued, to those who want to raccogliesi in prayer and those who want to try their lives, the opportunity to be a guest for a few days of "Guest House". Better information about it, you can definitely find the site of the Abbey. Next to the "Hall of" there is a wonderful shop where the monks sell what they produce; from the wine, honey, candies, herbal remedies and cosmetics. All festivals made by them and believe me, it's all delicious!! The only downfall of this beautiful place is that only a portion belongs to the order of monks and the rest ... to the State ... a disgrace in my opinion ... Finally, a visit to this beautiful Abbey, to his Church, the workplace of the monks is worth. RECOMMENDED ++ ++

  • Who was in the region of the Terme Euganee, don't miss to visit the Abbey of Praglia, 12th century. One admires the Church, then with a guided tour, not too long, you visit the entire Abbey complex. It's worth it. Be sure to take a look at the little shop of the monks with their products (natural wines and liqueurs, etc.). The surroundings offer excellent cultural and landscape surprises.

  • Don't miss to visit the Abbey a few kilometers from Abano. Situated in a sunny location surrounded by olive groves, fruit trees and herbs and of course screws. The Abbey dates back to the 13 century and you can visit it accompanied by a Benedictine monk who will explain the entire history of the monastery. At the entrance of the monastery there is a shop where they sell products such as (wine, honey, herbal teas, books and icons). Not to be missed!
