Finally this year I managed to visit palazzo Besta and it was worth it. Fine example of a Renaissance palace in the heart of the Alps, with parts well restored and Interior kept very close to the original. Shame really for driving which was little prepared, scarcely involving and rushed in the descriptions. Time for a visit is little but, as they say, is "what passes the monastery"; maybe better will pay the extra of euro 4 standard, eliminate all unnecessary discounts and exemptions for investing in local guides, who know the history of Valtellina, are prepared and able to copy happens in Piuro for Vertemate Franchi. Unfortunately where us zampino the status, it is known that you have sui generis and the staff are chosen with inscrutable criteria.

Palazzo Besta is an amazing discovery: inside you can admire beautiful frescos and know the habits of the nobility of Valtellina in the Renaissance as well as some secrets about the discovery of America! The guided tour (enquire well timetables) lasts an hour and leads in all the rooms of the era with beautiful ceilings and frescoes. The guide tells many anecdotes of the day, including the mystery that surrounds a beautiful fresco of the Americas and is worth the cost of admission! Good visit!

We visited this Palace pending the time for lunch! The interiors are very interesting and curious is the history of the Palace. They were accompanied by well trained Guide made the visit quite interesting

  • Interesting building. The visit can be done only with the Guide, very competent and never heavy in explaining many aspects concerning the various rooms of the Palace. I highly recommend visiting it, better maybe contact prior to a visit seen being made at any time and can be reserved for a group may be down. Go with a few people is definitely better because it also explains things more details that often turn out to be very interesting

  • Building of historical interest, worth a visit if you pass in the area. The guided tour allows you to discover the history of the building and, at the same time, the Valley for centuries. Unfortunately, the exposure of the guide was a bit too hasty and mnemonics. The renovation of the building is still in progress.

  • Usable with comfort, at least in midweek. Competent and sympathetic Guide.

  • The Palace beautiful and well preserved, quite a milestone to see in Teglio, unfortunately the guide we had was very dismissive, unprepared and decidedly vague explanations, we expected a more in-depth tour and made by a person with more passion for their work.

  • Rich in history ... I liked it so much ... maybe because it's my country!
