  • Small museum located in the former convent of San Domenico, next to the Church of the same name. Although most beautiful paintings by Mattia Preti are in the Church worth seeing is the Museum. Very nice the ancient Spezieria where there is the ticket office.

  • I visited the Museum during the exhibition of a painting by Caravaggio, on this occasion I also appreciated paintings exhibited, especially of Mattia Preti and Gregorio Preti; The Museum housed in the former convent of the Dominicans is well run and well worth a visit

  • The Museo Civico di Taverna (CZ) is housed in what was once the convent of the Dominicans. Over the centuries, in addition to the Dominicans also hosted local County prison, prison inmates displaced by natural disasters and even the Tavernesi who have found shelter for an attack of robbers. But even middle school, the District Court and still today the Town Hall. After adequate "adjustments", is a modern museum complex that houses the works of not only the brother priests, very active in ' 600, but also, more "recent" by Angelo and Carmelo Savelli and Mimmo Rotella, just to name a few. A perfect combination of classic and modern. Continuous destination of students and fans. Ongoing exchanges with other art galleries enrich the offer. As well as donations from artists and ordinary citizens. Ultimately-is certainly worth a visit.
