  • The wealth of this museum is extraordinary! Too bad little staff, so they say, the halls are not open at once, then come and banged like a top .... The ori are the real peculiarity, along with jars that it seems impossible to have 2500 years!

  • The Archaeological Museum of Taranto (MARTA) excellently renovated offers archaeological finds of great testimony of the past. Arranged over three floors, the exhibits enhanced also by modern architectural media capture the interest of the visitor. To visit. The guides (archaeologists) good for professionalism demonstrated.

  • Really good to learn about local history. Well organised and interest. Really liked it and it's free the first Sunday of each month!
  • Stunning history here. We came on a day where two of the floors were closed for some reason not mentioned on their website. Definitely check in advance.
  • 100% worth the visit to Taranto to see this museum, extremely good layout and lots of history on offer.
  • Amazing collection- need more staff!
  • Nice and modern museum. Sadly more than half of exposition was closed. Beautiful collection but quite expensive (€8)
