(4.3/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
The Cheradi Islands in the Gulf of Taranto are a small archipelago of the harbor basin of the Mar Grande of Taranto. The island group consists of the two islands of San Pietro and San Paolo. Previously, there was still a third island, San Nicolicchio, but was destroyed through the expansion of the cargo port. Administratively, the islands belong to the old town of Taranto .

  • Seen from the waterfront of Taranto is not perceived their beauty, but just take one of the ferries that in summer make the tour, to see closely the colors of the beaches and the sea of San Pietro and then discover the remains of a Napoleonic fortress in Sao Paulo. Currently the two islands are operated by the Navy, but wanting a San Pietro you can spend a day at the beach with a ticket.

  • The boat gave us a tour in Mar Grande Taranto, we approached a lot to the Islands ... during sunset colors are indescribable! A beautiful reminder:)
