The Cheradi Islands in the Gulf of Taranto are a small archipelago of the harbor basin of the Mar Grande of Taranto. The island group consists of the two islands of San Pietro and San Paolo. Previously, there was still a third island, San Nicolicchio, but was destroyed through the expansion of the cargo port. Administratively, the islands belong to the old town of Taranto .

  • I wanted to visit the island of San Pietro and finally this summer occurred the opportunity by visiting my brother and his partner. I purchased tickets to the Agency Travel to 10 euro each, Appia Amat costs 1.10 euros less. The ticket is issued for a specific departure and return. On the morning of departure we enjoyed the view, for me with different perspectives than usual but for tourists represents a coup d eye, excluding the portion of the industrial zone. Arrived at the pier on the island already there was the atmosphere of the places checked but discreet. We crossed a driveway and drove to the lido. Well organized, clean, "schematic". We chose the umbrellas, taken the chairs and enjoyed the clear sea and the view on the right side of the beach did not have anything to envy to exotic beaches. The lido is equipped with bars, tables, picnic area, "chaplain for the mass". The prices are very low. Fortunately there is no influx to the island is limited so l confusion. Beautiful place

  • Of course we must not think of a tropical island or deserted but still worth the ticket price only to spend a day on a beach with pine woods arriving there after a nice walk from where you can admire the beauty of Taranto. ... ilva excluded of course.

  • Beach is beautiful but poor organization can do much more about the island, permanently all the degradation, shame no one knows exploit the situation!
