  • The "Torre Dell ' orologio e Porta di mezzo" is a gateway to the Western suburb of Taormina. The Tower has pinnacles and a clock. A mosaic of the Madonna in the arch especially liked. The tower is located in the Centre of the city, opposite to the Cathedral and today is part of the pedestrian zone in main street "Corso Umberto" Taormina. We were In April and September on the spot. In the season abound on the road from tourists. I felt this but not as annoying. From the Cathedral Square, it also has a wonderful view to the Mediterranean Sea, you can see the tower with the beautiful mosaic then ever.
