Nature / Park
Giardini della Villa Comunale is one of the main sites in a town that has been a popular tourist destination since the 19th century. A haven of tranquility far from the maelstrom of boisterous tourists, the park offers not only panoramic views of the city and the curving coastline, but also unbeatable vistas of Mount Etna. The park is crisscrossed by paved pathways, which are shaded by centenarian trees and lined with lush flower beds. Mimosa and orange trees sway gently over lifelike sculptures, which recline on stone benches and seem to enjoy the park’s views just as much as the real visitors do. Designed in the style of a typical English garden, the park was created in the 19th century by Lady Florence Trevelyan, an English noblewoman who married a local military commander. • Very nice and serene place. It is worth a visit and don't miss the parrots!
  • Calm quiet place, very nice for relaxing after the busy tourism in the town
  • A beautiful garden laid out longways on the slopes of Taoramina. Slowly decaying structures of wood and tile and brick and stone are everywhere. The whole thing is the legacy of of a Brithish aristocrat - best to read about her in the Gardens. On a sunny day this place is enchanting. Views forever and of course Mt Etna
  • The gardens are amazing! So nice to walk around and enjoy the nice weather.
  • You can sit down and relax here and enjoy nice vista
