  • It takes some effort but at the end va nth walk you have a few beautiful meetrtjes, swimming, and waterfalls. It's a whole climb back. Unfortunately, the rest of the gap closed and poorly maintained. Officially is itself the main access close but everyone climbs over the fence!! And it's fine to do with good shoes, take water and food! do not the circular walk that so can not!

  • The place is really beautiful, bathing in the ponds was thoroughly enjoyable, the water wasn't even overly cold. Take a shower under the waterfall was better than going to a spa to make the tub. There are, however, to ignore certain things. Access is officially banned so who goes into this place is at your own risk, as those who make off piste in the mountains. Descent and ascent are challenging, but not impossible and without major obstacles. Attention especially in the bottom of the Valley to the slippery slope. Bring water and to dry if you want to bathe. Rocky shoes are not despicable.

  • That effort guys! From sporty I got convinced that it was going to be a walk for me, but no. The road is long and definitely not easy therefore closed shoes and bring the indispensable. In my opinion the descent was not bad, I suffered a lot more for the climb, partly because I had a headache. Anyway, I don't want to be exaggerated, it is not impossible, but one has to work hard! Consider that for the ride will take about 1 hour "one way". ponds I liked quite a bit and despite it being high season there was room for all of us. I think though I visited them once in your life simply! hehe!

  • The Cavagrande is a must-visit for people looking for pure sicilian nature in all of its beauty. We went here March/April and it was great. The landscape is outstandingly beautiful. It is pretty easy to get down to the super beautiful and peaceful natural lakes, though I would recommend fitted shoes instead of flip flops for the standard route. This will not require any climbing, but careful stepping up and down the path. You should avoid going up or down at noon at least in summer, because hiding spots are rare. The way down takes 45 minutes and the way back to the plateau 1 hour - both with multiple pauses to admire the breathtakinh view. The administration guard told us we could not go down, but you can do so at own risk anyway using a small path to the left of the gate. The trip itself is not dangerous, but in summer check for wildfire yourself. I totally recommend this valley to any visitor. Most beautiful place at Sicily I have went to!
  • amazing view, nice pools. Unfortunately the water was cold when we went there. Also, prepare well and do take your running or trekking shoes. We went with flip flops and it was difficult and also a pair got broken on the way.. :)
  • Absolutely beautiful, but you need to be reasonably fit to enjoy the down and uphill :)
  • Nice nature reserve. Olive trees and lemon trees
  • Amazing views and great rock pools
