  • The hiking route is very attractive, walking in nature, observing the ancient remains of the necropolis excavated in the Rocky walls. There are actually two different access points, from Salazar's to walk a little more, and in my opinion, it is not recommended to do so in the middle of summer, cause excessive heat and sunlight at certain points of the route, which is often steep, but at the end of the walk you arrive in a small swimming area of the river where you can enjoy a refreshing dip or simply admire the beauty of the place. Recommended visit.

  • An unforgettable experience. A combination of nature and history that leaves you speechless. Amazing beautiful valleys, historical layers. Walking immersed in or along the route of a railroad abandoned, you saw the tombs, tunnels, basilicas, streams and ponds, you collect herbs, you can feel the history, you stop to think about how beautiful Sicily is a world heritage site, and yet few know but you who read here to keep an eye out!

  • The necropolis is accessible on foot, and is absolutely worth going there (very little effort). It is the patrimony of humanity, and is difficult to understand why.

  • Reviewer "Giuseppe Poeta" is an imbecile; complaining about the geography of the site having "dangerous paths" and "fire hazards". It's not unlike any other natural terrain where you may have to put forth a small amount of effort to explore. This place is beautiful , monumental, epic and unforgettable. AND very "walk" friendly.
  • So many great vista and a beautiful place o spend the day hiking.
  • Great vista
  • It's a gorgeous place I would say unique both for its rare natural beauties and for the archaeological wonders. It has a charm that enchants visitors. The trails along the Calcinara or the road long km13 (former railway) combined with the Anapo, is an experience that allows the mind and body to divest himself of all thought and find themselves surrounded by such serenity from feeling reborn, a sort of "back to basics".

  • One of the most beautiful places in Sicily! You walk on a road where flowed (until mid ' 900 c.ca) railway line that connected several countries including Sortino and Ferla. The Anapo and Calcinara rivers Valley carved through the centuries, offers visitors the chance to discover ever new glimpses through capillarity of trails. Recommend anyone to see her at least once.
