  • Visit very interesting. An extraordinary place with a long history marked by great changes. From a place of pain and anguish for the slaves that they extracted the stone for the buildings of Syracuse in ancient times until it became today even attraction as Garden in a fantastic environment. Well cared for the guided tour.

  • A few steps from the historical centre we stumbled across this garden hypogeum yore quarry and military prison. What can we say? Peace and tranquility unnatural, immersed in the green of high cliffs carved. Price maybe overpriced for the ticket, unless I am mistaken 7 € per person. We enjoyed the journalistic card (we were in the company of a journalist) and we paid around 12 euros for 5 people.

  • The Latomia was an obligatory stop of the trip in Sicily, the so-called "Grand Tour". Among the latomie of Syracuse that ancient and Capuchin is certainly the most beautiful. The link with the Friars Minor of St. Francis dates back to 1582, when the University of Syracuse gave it to the monks.
