  • The area actually give access to two other caves but these are closed off at the moment ( rock fall?) The park and garden is nevertheless attractive and a good place for a shady - cooler picnic lunch!...  more »
  • Latomia means quarry. That big gap that looks was made to remove the stone to be used in the construction of monuments and historical buildings of Syracuse. Then orange trees, magnolias and other trees were planted and it turned into a beautiful garden.

  • Nice location, inside the Archaeological Park, which leads to the grotta dei cordari and ear of Dionysus. During the walk you are immersed in the Green, between plants and reeds. Room for improvement as the entire park but from having to visit if you are in Syracuse.
