  • Definitely worth the stop, the Church itself is very pretty. Inside there was the painting by Caravaggio, then only for what is worth pausing a second. The site is free.

  • A very small church, well taken care of which contains a large capovaloro of Caravaggio, I'd stay hours sitting to admire. Afternoon closed at 16 but if you documented before, you can see easily!

  • Syracuse. ... and also for the blind. Helgeninden appears frequently with his (outlined) eyes on a small platter, or as in this old painting, hanging on a small branch. This little church by the Abbey, (which today is used as an art gallery) has been given a Baroque façade and was rebuilt around 1695-1705 after the earthquake in 1693. Painting of Santa Lucia's funeral is Caravaggios from 1608, and was originally in another Church, dedicated to Santa Lucia (Santa Lucia al Sepolcro). In the firmament be seen scenes from Santa Lucia's life. Go to the right on the way out and view the beautiful tiled floors in the former baptistery.

  • Part of a beautiful square in Syracusa
  • Tile floor of the Church, dating from the time of its construction, it surprises the visitor with its colors. Behind the altar is the painting of the "burial of Saint Lucy" painted in 1608 by Caravaggio. Wonderful.

  • A Baroque church in size significantly smaller than the Cathedral, but there is a large painting of the "burial of Saint Lucy" painted in 1608 by Caravaggio.

  • Sincerely within is not beautiful, but still worth going to for at least two reasons. The first is given by the measures that often are hosted; the second, and far more important is the painting by Caravaggio which is just wonderful.

  • Simple inside but still nice!
