We can guess the atmosphere that prevailed during the battles of gladiators.

At the Center, you can appreciate its exceptional acoustics. Magnificent website but unfortunately a little neglected even to the incivility of some of the regulars.

Not much to see really
I admit I'm biased, but if you go to Sousse is a necessary stage of history. It's within walking distance (approximately 5-10 minutes walk) from the Arch of Augustus and the Castle, in a pleasant and quiet. It is home to several events including the historic tournament of the towns (also called Palio) and of the international folklore festival (Golden Chestnut).
Important historical place, here each summer hosts the famous "Historical Tournament of the Susa Villages" (the "Palio"), a historical review that parade in costumes of the time many citizens are also presented of races to elect the village winner.
If you are in Susa passed by here and dedicate some of your time. Just sit back and imagine what a time took place inside ... also used for shows and events
