Laghetto di San Benedetto, Subiaco

Sweet spot to get lost in nature not too far from Rome. The lake is close and the hike is shorter, however there is a 2.50€ fee to get in per person. It worth the price though.

Small Aniene river lake with a little waterfall, hidden in a shadow in woods. Very refreshing on hot days. Also a nice short walk. Downside is it's very crowded on high season days. Also, recently they, for some reason, strated to charge entrance fee of 1.50,- EUR. Not much, but charging for access to a public place in the woods, really??

This water which from a pagan holiday home was blessed by Saint Benedict and is now a place of peace and mysticism. Diving into this pool has amazing benefits to your health a restores you to the max of your energetic capabilities. I highly recommend it and the monastery at the top of its hill.

Very beautiful nature pool and waterfall, but the water is very cold. When we went there it was 35 degrees Celsius and still was the water cold. Also be aware that it will take you a 30 min hike the reach this beautiful place.

WOW! This place was literally paradise! I ran into this place when it was 40 degrees outside. The drop in temperature as you descend to this little haven is immediately felt. The water was ice cold and could be crossed over at certain points. If traveling with kids or disabled people the journey from the car park to this point can be challenging. I was left stunned by this sweet spot.
