In addition to being able to stroll through tree-lined streets, lawns and rose gardens, the Park is also home to several animals well taken care of. It is pleasant to spend the whole day inside, especially during times of reduced influx of tourists, so enjoy it a bit more!show original
Nice walk from downtown Stresa. Visited the "zoo" first. There is a small collection of many birds, goats, a couple zebra, couple llama, north American skunk. The cages are old, limited space for the ... read more »
The park is vast, disposed on more than one level therefore keep in mind: you'll have to walk. The path is sometimes pure soil, not very stroller friendly, however you will walk in the shades of ancient trees, with a view of Lake Maggiore and the perfume of earth and flowers and every corner has a new great camer spot. Bring your children and let them discover the love for wild animals, there is an accessible enclosure with little goats, does and cute, splendid fawns. They can be fed with their own hay (beware, the goats are very friendly and curious). You will also see a number of exotic birds. The rose garden, with the ivy gazebos and flower beds is a sight to behold. On the practical side: the parking lot is spacious and free, there are many public toilets along the path and little restaurants or bar, you may also bring your own food.
Nice place to bring kids to experience the outdoors. Expect up slopes on pebble paths to move around the place. Includes an animal enclosure with goats sheeps and lambs where you can pet them. Also has a nice garden with a couple of peacocks roaming around. A good 3hrs of entertainment for family with kids.
Nice relaxing atmosphere, great views, and kids get up close with some.of the animals
