  • Can I just attended reachable by a road used as way of the cross. The effort to reach the top allows you to think about yourself and about life. At the top of a fairytale view rewards the effort. Not recommended to travel with children and persons with impaired.

  • Like being screened in a fantasy film! Great location with a breathtaking 360 degrees. After a long walk perched on the slopes of Mount where stands the remains of the Norman castle. One of the few traces remain of the Norman period in Italy. . must place to visit!

  • Probably we were recommended OK but we tried, on the advice of a local, get in the car, what not to do assolutamwnte. We nearly fall on deaf ears on a road impassable, without any protection and without a chance to go back until the end of the road that winds up a series of switchbacks type quarry. Dangerous I donot

  • An other route leads up to the castle which starts not far from the La Cattolica. From here it's a nice, steep, moderate, 30-minute hike up to the castle which is now unfortunately neglected, and "owned" by the goats. If you reach the cross on your route you have to turn right towards the ruins. The view is really nice.
  • Very expensive goat pasture. No proper access. No historic explanations.
  • The Normans arrived and conquered the town of Stilo in 1072 a.d. Because of its strategic location in the domain of the entire Valley of the river Stilaro, the village was elected to the Royal estate and fortified with the construction of a defensive Castle. The location of the Royal estate, namely city under the direct control of the King, was maintained by the Swabians, Angevins and Aragonese. The castle of Stylus then was kept in maintenance by the various successive rulers, without substantial changes. The installation of Norman origin indeed was never altered, and even today it can be seen very well in the architecture of the towers, although it is unfortunately reduced to ruins.

  • It's tiring to get there but a lot of satisfaction. It was recently renovated, too bad it's been left to the goats that graze freely ... nice hike anyway

  • Reached the place beautiful landscape. Place not accessible to everyone, and can be reached only on foot, there is a lot of walking, I recommend walking shoes possibly stretching. For those who love freedom to peak is a small satisfaction. Bodies can certainly do much more to improve this structure and the path to get there. The car should be left near the cemetery in the country.
