  • Diary of a visit failure. Already the lack of clear signage and an indication of where to Park did not give a good sign. However, entered the fortress, we were greeted (after a few minutes of waiting, necessary so that Mrs. ended a long phone call) from a chatty "Guide", which invited us to come back after half an hour (maybe) because the tour was just left and it was not possible to visit the rock otherwise (even the courtyard). Meanwhile, always with lashings verbal, we were shown a publication with which we were given alternative routes to visit the castle: itineraries in the village of Staggia, churches and castles in the district, a kind of treasure hunt, etc. All things that required at least a couple of hours of time (compared to four in the afternoon) and we were encouraged to do. I mean everything except two words of explanation on the rock. Finally, we closed the publication under the nose, without telling us if we could get it or buy it and our facilitator. In short, a real example of deterrence, more or less covert, to visit. Why?

  • A place that could be an interesting ruin and that the Foundation has well interpreted in meticulous enhancement. Guided tours at fixed times; normally at the stroke of the hour but there may be delays. Being a private foundation is required an entrance fee for which the price is not indicated on the outside, but shows before starting the tour. Not having a permanent collection installations vary so you can expect to find different things at every visit. The view from the trenches is Grand about around. Competent and accurate guide, able to hold up the Group's attention. Worth it!
