2.9/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Get a sense of how Rome's upper class lived at Casa Romana di Vespaia Polla, an old villa once used by members of the elite. While not large, the site makes for a pleasant tour, as it allows visitors to wander the property freely. Note the high ceilings and large windows, which give each room a bright and open feel. The real attraction, though, lies just beneath your feet: each room features well-preserved mosaic floors made of original tiles, and you can walk across them just as the Romans did. • Casa Romana of the first century a.d., probably belonged to a person of high rank, perhaps the mother of Emperor Vespasian Vespasia Polla. Very beautiful mosaic floor. I do not give a higher rating to the absurd presence of an exhibition of paintings that have nothing to do with the House. You can take photographs, but it is extremely difficult to do by excluding the paintings. It would be desirable to even more information.

  • The House is beautiful to visit and still maintains the original floor. Inside are also art exhibitions. Worth going.
