Casa Romana di Vespaia Polla, Spoleto

(2.9/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Get a sense of how Rome's upper class lived at Casa Romana di Vespaia Polla, an old villa once used by members of the elite. While not large, the site makes for a pleasant tour, as it allows visitors to wander the property freely. Note the high ceilings and large windows, which give each room a bright and open feel. The real attraction, though, lies just beneath your feet: each room features well-preserved mosaic floors made of original tiles, and you can walk across them just as the Romans did. • Spoleto and Rome are closely linked, this well maintained home shows this relationship. Deserves it!

  • This is a pretty interesting attraction, there are some frescoes and decorated floors that show better or worse the old style of the Roman domus
