Casa Romana di Vespaia Polla, Spoleto

3.8
#6 of 29 in Things to do in Spoleto
History Museum Museum
Get a sense of how Rome's upper class lived at Casa Romana di Vespaia Polla, an old villa once used by members of the elite. While not large, the site makes for a pleasant tour, as it allows visitors to wander the property freely. Note the high ceilings and large windows, which give each room a bright and open feel. The real attraction, though, lies just beneath your feet: each room features well-preserved mosaic floors made of original tiles, and you can walk across them just as the Romans did.
