  • The castle of Spilimbergo is now a complex of stately buildings, arranged in a ring around the old central courtyard. The most interesting from an artistic point of view is the so-called Palace painting, which over the centuries housed the Emperor Charles V, the Queen of Poland Bona Sforza and the King of France Henry III. The façade is decorated with a series of frescoes, depicting horses and grooms: very evocative are the scenes with the Cardinal and theological virtues, attributed to Andrea Bellunello. Beautiful and harmonious the two balconies triforati and il poggiolo, made by Pilacorte.

  • The Palace painting dates back to 1400, in Gothic-Renaissance style and is located between the sumptuous buildings overlooking the courtyard of the castle of Spilimbergo. Pleasant and interesting is the changing architectural styles of the various buildings that go from Gothic to Veneto, from Romanesque to Renaissance. The Palace particularly stands out Painting the frescos and architecture. Nice two trefoils, how beautiful are the openwork balconies. Very interesting and spectacular frescoes, in multiple colors, on the façade: you see drawings of ladies, Knights, pages and horses.
