  • It was the first time visiting this site-Museum. I'm sorry to see (again!) that Italy, which has a huge heritage, is often run by people who may not have their own consciousness of what they have in their hands. The Museum, which is very small, it may be fixed a little better. There are some beautiful and interesting exhibits but settled "at best" in rooms that would seriously be made again. This is the inside. The exterior also could there be different if it were Meanwhile fixed the path that leads to the cave, removing some weeds maybe. The external website is very interesting because there are the ruins of the Villa, then you get to the cave. Many photos but make an idea a bit different from reality. The water is very dirty and this takes away the charm that the cave actually has to sell. In short, this Museum may be a little gem and instead, for lack of care (of funds? MAh!) It's just a Museum, interesting Yes, but an infinite sadness ...

  • The archaeological area, with its Museum, includes the remains of the villa and the cave of the Emperor Tiberius. The grotto of Tiberius, ninfeo enriched by statues, is indeed exciting and not to be missed is 33 m deep with entrance preceded by a grandiose rectangular basin filled with seawater. Also the costs for entry are cheap (5 Euros) and well spent. The Museum is well worth the visit

  • Remember visiting the Museum when I was little. Go back a few days ago after so long was a good experience. I appreciate the marble sculptures found in the cave of Tiberius. I found it very interesting also the section devoted to the project and to the history of the Museum, which I believe should be exposed more.

  • A wonderful ruin, and cave; fun to walk around in and explore. Easy 5 minute drive from Sperlonga, and relatively quick to explore (could do an hour for the museum and ruins if you like). Pop over when you want a break from the beach, like we did! Also, go to the fence around the ruin from the beach. The cool spring water bubbles up through the beach sand among the rocks in places.
  • Little known but very interesting. The small museum houses sculptures and interesting reconstructions and significant. The villa of Tiberius was (unfortunately) excavated recently and what little is no information boards. But the big cave with water features and ponds for fish farming worth the visit.

  • the Villa of Tiberius served for summer dinners of the Emperor, the Museum is very interesting. visit can be combined with a dip in the sea, nearby there is a beach with parking fee.
