Create an itinerary including Villa di Pollio Felice - Bagni della Regina Giovanna
Search out the little-known beautiful swimming hole at Villa di Pollio Felice - Bagni della Regina Giovanna, a natural pool of clear water hidden next to the ancient ruins of a Roman villa. The pool's location is a little difficult to find, but ask the locals for directions and watch for a narrow cobblestone sidewalk. The path leads you to the site, where a hole in the rocks lets the sea fill the pool with turquoise water. Swimming here is allowed and encouraged; on a hot day the cold water feels particularly refreshing. Extend your visit by renting a boat at Sorrento and touring the area. You can even go fishing and keep the day's catch for lunch. • Nice Small place, you can walk around or swim in a tiny place down the rocks, but it can be very crowded too, overall it is ok to see it once

  • Approx 2 mile walk from sorrento on a main road - there is a bus that goes there but we never explored this option - worthwhile! Once at the small pool it’s a lovely wee gem for a swim. Not much room....  more

  • Excellent day trip. Not for the timid. Swim shoes recommended. Many sharp rocks. Very beautiful water, rock formations, Roman ruins. Perfect for snorkeling. Nice trails for hiking. Warm water. Incredible scenery and views. No facilities. Walk with care. Not suitable for children. Highly recommended. Access by bus, taxi, or 35 minutes walk from downtown Sorrento.
  • Quite long hike from Sorrento, but definitely worth the effort. Very beautiful place with interesting history. Recommended wearing good shoes as it is rocky and slippery. You can take a bath after going down the stairs, but there’s not much place to sit and hang around out there. Swim under the arch and you can see an emerald green water sparking in the sun, very beautiful!
  • Highly recommend! Such a lovely place just for a simple hike to see that place in general. But to get down to the water you need to be ready for rocky and quite steep steps so it might be bit hard to get down there with children or elder people. Anyways bring your picnic basket and swimsuit with you. Even the route from Sorrento to Bagni Regina Giovanna was really nice. If you like to spice up your route, you can take smaller road which was really narrow and steep between closed lemon gardens. :)
  • Wear something comfortable, so many steps to go down to the swimming area. My shoes got stolen so be careful. Other than that it was a really nice experience, go early if you can. you can climb the rocks and jump to the water. I recommend to get a waterproof phone case to document your unforgettable memories. Its lovely but bit crowded if you go later than 11 am
  • Really scenic place to spend a few hours hanging out in the sun and enjoying the water. We did some cliff jumping from moderate height rocks. Nothing extreme and the water was really warm and enjoyable. Was a little busy but the other people around were all nice and pleasant to interact with. The little grotto was a bit dirty, quite a bit of trash around and floaties in the water. Views of Sorrento and across the water you can see Mt. Vesuvius. Would recommend!
