  • Among the narrow streets of sorrento restaurant appears this restaurant with the charming salvattore who you love with your sympathy and invites you (thankfully) sit to enjoy rich dishes, wines and a singer that you rejoice with Italian canzonettas. simply magic

  • Waiter is stern looking and purposely gave us the wrong order and insist it's our fault. When he was the one that recommend that order.  more »
  • Almost always petada terrace: there is a continuous transit of people in this square (intersection of via San Cesareo via degli Archi). Typical dishes of the area at reasonable prices (a fillet € 19 seems to me correct). What I liked: be able to dine in the historic center of the city; Holy week procession was passing right next to our table. We were recommended a Marchese Brancia 2006 (celler Castel dei Franci), red of the Taurasi DOCG (Campania), almost purplish color and very good acidity. Quality: I didn't like how they brasearon my filetto di manzo... well raw on the inside but little Braised on the outside, what a pity was between tasteless.... However, good quality/price ratio.

  • Food was generally very poor here. Items on the seafood salad were quite clearly frozen (without being labelled as such on the menu unlike the fish main courses) and texture was mushy. In some cases were still noticeably cold from being in the freezer. Pizzas were no better. Marinara was very watery and had very little flavour. Too much cheese on the pizzas, probably to compensate for the tomato. Bases were good if a little overcooked. The anchovies on the Pizza Napoli were overpowered by vinegar flavour (probably something to do with another item on the menu, anchovies in vinegar...). Only saving graces here - service was nice enough (from most of the staff), and quick; live music / singing here every evening; prices are relatively cheap, although you get what you pay for, so why save a Euro or two and end up with a terrible dinner. Avoid.
  • Great pizzas and the best house red wine I have had in the Sorrento area. 6 euro for half a litre of full bodied excellent red. Pizza dough was light and well made. Staff were attentive and polite.
  • I ate here two times and on both occasions the food, service and atmosphere were great. Staff are very friendly and quite comedic. Live music is good and creates a relaxing atmosphere to dine in. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit. Also, the prices are very reasonable!
  • Good place to eat in the middle of the historic center of Sorrento. Menu has sets of meals that all was tasty and not pricy (18 euro for two curses and desert). The service was fast and effective but didn't give us the feeling to hurry up and finish eating to free up the table. Only thing that I didn't like is that the tables outside are on the busy street. Ask.for table inside.
  • Friendly staff who offered quick service. The food was ok and filled us up after a long day sightseeing. The house red was nice!

Where to stay in Sorrento

Sorrento's seaside hotels offer an ideal base for exploring the Amalfi Coast and the nearby archeological sites. Staying right on the water's edge also means being mere minute from the historical town center, popular beaches, and Sorrento's famous harbor. For a quieter experience just a little farther away from the sea, book your stay at a private hostel or B&B. Many family-run inns in the residential neighborhoods offer access to private swimming pools and manicured yards, with secure parking.
