#4 of 8 in Beaches in Sorrento
Explore the quiet paradise of Marina di Puolo, a small, secluded bay on the western coast of Italy, near Sorrento. Rent a beach chair and relax the day away with a view of the sparkling Mediterranean, or splash about in the calm waters. Work up an appetite to enjoy a meal at one of the few beachside restaurants. After soaking up some Italian sunshine, take a stroll down the warm, sandy beach. The sand gives way to a rocky pathway out to the point, which provides clear views of the sea. • Dear traveller the peninsula never ceases to amaze us, among the many wonderful beaches which offers us this time I chose to speak of the "Pignatella". The effort to get it is a coral reef near Marina di Puolo, personally I got there by public transportation (I took the circumvesuviana and came down to Sorrento; come to Sorrento I took the bus St Agatha-Via Massa, tickets cost €1.30 and I went down to Puolo). To reach the beach you have to cross a car park with olive trees, the beach is free however you can rent umbrella + Cot, I recommend everyone to wear shoes to walk better on the rocks .... The water is gorgeous all day long, I recommend not transformed this place as a garbage dump, the waste bins are there so be civilians and try to protect and maintain the natural beauty that gives us our region ... HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL.

  • It's August, so I am well aware that I can't complain. Small compared to the amount of people coming. Parking at 15 euros and a similar number for 2 chairs + parasol (at the beach). Unfortunately the boats are close enough and ruining a sea that would be crystal clear. Convenient for families (down by car to the beach).

  • Marina di Puolo presents one of the most beautiful views of the Gulf Salem where you can see Capri in all its beauty. The promenade is impractical for swimmers only in a rocky Cove is easier to swim but it's hard to let you access the elderly.

Where to stay in Sorrento

Sorrento's seaside hotels offer an ideal base for exploring the Amalfi Coast and the nearby archeological sites. Staying right on the water's edge also means being mere minute from the historical town center, popular beaches, and Sorrento's famous harbor. For a quieter experience just a little farther away from the sea, book your stay at a private hostel or B&B. Many family-run inns in the residential neighborhoods offer access to private swimming pools and manicured yards, with secure parking.
