Marina di Puolo, Sorrento

(3.6/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Explore the quiet paradise of Marina di Puolo, a small, secluded bay on the western coast of Italy, near Sorrento. Rent a beach chair and relax the day away with a view of the sparkling Mediterranean, or splash about in the calm waters. Work up an appetite to enjoy a meal at one of the few beachside restaurants. After soaking up some Italian sunshine, take a stroll down the warm, sandy beach. The sand gives way to a rocky pathway out to the point, which provides clear views of the sea. • For me it's the most authentic area of the Peninsula: here the time seems to have stopped. In summer takes a face that you are not right, chaotic: go there himself, but don't be fooled by what is not its most typical. To live the village in all its beauty I recommend to come here to see the sunset on the seashore (and perhaps dine literally on the beach). I appreciate especially in low season: when the only inhabitants are the local fishermen, the water is really nice, the view sweeps over the Gulf (with Vesuvius in the background) and relaxation you will enjoy is amazing. If you want you can get with a nice walk from downtown (about 1:00), with some difference: If you enjoy walking there is advice, stopping on the way back, at the Bagni della Regina Giovanna.
