  • Today more than ever it is important to visit places like this: the extraordinary cultural and historical importance joins the value that assumes this symbol of freedom. La rocca, impeccably preserved, recounts the battle of Solferino. Through the era's memorabilia, weapons, uniforms, paintings, videos, original documents, flags and much more, we retrace the historical events involving those who bravely fought to win independence. It is our duty to visit this historical record, know the facts, to remember the sacrifice of those who came before us and not to make it in vain, we defend our identity as a people. "The tip": take the kids. These values should be transmitted to future generations. And climbed on top of the fortress, admiring the panorama that stretches along the Plains, past the Lake and to the mountains of Trentino, you will understand why this tower is known as "the light of Italy".

  • Nice little attraction to between 30 minutes-1 hour. Amazing 360 degree view from the top of the tower. Fun for the kids to see gun positions and the swords from about 150 years ago.

  • A place that reminds us of the bloody battle of 24 June 1859 in which fought the French led by Napoleon III against the Austrian army led by Emperor Franz Joseph. In the Museum you can see a series of memorabilia, paintings, uniforms and weapons of the battle involving both armies. Up the Hill of the fortress you can hear and see documentaries describing the conflict in detail. joints on top from the roof terrace a spectacular 365 degree the surrounding area theatre of bloody battle, the fortress is nicknamed the spy of Italy. For us it was important this visit saw that last year we went to San Martino della Battaglia other place of the same incident.

  • The tower is wheelchair accessible! Beautiful views!
  • Very peaceful
  • Step back in time. A path that takes you back in time "upward", leaving room for your imagination of those distant days in the history of Europe. Finally, on top of the rock, beautiful view to Lake Garda and the hinterland.

  • Torre called in the past also "Spy of Italy", combines the beautiful panoramic position of the Sun in the presence of artifacts, documents, clothing and environments related to the history of the battles that saw her involuntary protagonist.

  • The fortress of Solferino is all that remains of an ancient medieval fortress; for its elevated position represented throughout history the aim of different operations and military, up to the famous battle of Solferino on 24 June 1859 which ended operations in Lombardy in the second war of independence. From its top you can enjoy a wonderful view at 360 degrees, with the ability to see in a clear day North Alps and Lake Garda, South to the Apennines and to the Southeast the city of Mantua.
