  • Let me start my review by the compliments to the boys of the cooperative that thanks to their hard work they managed to give us a chance to visit this wonder of Sulcis it the best way possible. The trail is maintained in every cm giving a chance to get to the top and with little effort. My 6 and 9 year old grew intrigued and calmly. Along the way there are numerous information boards are useful for those of us who did not perform the route with guide. The ticket price of 3.50 euros for children and € 4 for me. I advise you to spend an afternoon.

  • For those who live in Sardinia or for tourists who have half a day to spare, the visit to the castle of Acquafredda the advice without question. Full marks to both locations, but especially to the passion with which a young cooperative of Siliqua made accessible to visitors to the castle in all its parts still exist. The guide was very friendly and it is really prepared. Also during the visit, we found an unexpected travel companion, a dog who lives at the foot of the Castle who escorted us up in the structure of the keep. The visit lasted 2 hours (45 1:00 to come up with 5/6 breaks with explanations, 15 min to go down) and has cost 5 euro. A figure well spent to fund and assist the cooperative that runs the site to deal with living expenses. Really compliments

  • Typical Sardinian landscape plain at the base of the mountains with Mediterranean vegetation. Presence of deer and wild boar. From the ruins of the Castle dominates the Valley.

  • Arrived at the base of the Hill on which stands the Castle you will immediately notice that there is a real tourist attraction. There is a small kiosk where you can buy tickets for visiting 4 €. A character highly arranged tells a bit of the site but there will be no one to accompany us to the top. The castle itself is closed to the public but you can still walk up to an observation deck at about the same level and along the walk there are information boards to read. The route is divided between stone walkways and boardwalks, sometimes steep, mostly in the shade of the trees (useful in warmer weather). Arrived at the lookout point you can really enjoy a great view that deserves the walk addressed. Bottom line: not much to look at and the absence of a guide does not exalt the visit allowing rude to write and/or engrave crap in several places. No need for special equipment and preparations to face the journey but I recommend comfortable sneakers.

  • Availability of bar with ice cream and coffee and clean bathrooms with SOAP and paper. Trails with views. A paid guide walk towards the Castle

  • The Castle stands on a rock of volcanic origin that stands imposing on a plain, the view and the beautiful panorama in 360 degrees. The remains of the Castle are enhanced by a very well looked after. His story is quite fascinating.

  • very nice place to visit and not to be missed. the price is absolutely negligible when compared to the duration (fully at the discretion of the visitor) and the quality of the visit (historical, cultural and environmental). The bar service offers coffee and soft drinks and some snacks, to recharge before heading back home, happy to be were guests for a day of count Ugolino
