  • This morning, having a beautiful day, we decided to visit the castle of Siliqua. a few km from Cagliari, easily accessible. Arrived on site find a fine picnic area well equipped and a small kiosk. You have two ways to get to the Castle, with or without a guide. The cost difference is minimal (5euros, 4euros without). I suggest to use the Guide, is very prepared and then that way it helps small cooperative that has been working for 15 years to safeguard the Castle and the area around. And then through the Guide leads to the highest part of the Castle where you can admire a beautiful view! So advice to all this nice excursion ... You won't be disappointed!

  • Jumped on this castle when I was a child, during an Easter Monday was spent in the small church of Santa Margherita, near the mastìo. It is certainly that the trails were not the same that I have walked a couple of months ago before were uncertain, bare and let's face it, goat trails. Today the trail is groomed throughout the route, thanks to a cooperative that takes care of him in the best way possible. Beautiful scenery, dominating the whole flat from Siliqua comes in Assemini and, in fine weather, you can also see Cagliari. A place to visit, congratulations to the boys of the cooperative.

  • I love this place if you want to spend a day out of the city and cook on the grill I recommend it if you want to grab a coffee ☕ ️ there is also a small bar with Nice staff and friendly and if you want to dispose of everything I ate I recommend the hike up in the castle of count Ugolino where there is a breathtaking view

  • Arrived at the base of the Hill on which stands the Castle you will immediately notice that there is a real tourist attraction. There is a small kiosk where you can buy tickets for visiting 4 €. A character highly arranged tells a bit of the site but there will be no one to accompany us to the top. The castle itself is closed to the public but you can still walk up to an observation deck at about the same level and along the walk there are information boards to read. The route is divided between stone walkways and boardwalks, sometimes steep, mostly in the shade of the trees (useful in warmer weather). Arrived at the lookout point you can really enjoy a great view that deserves the walk addressed. Bottom line: not much to look at and the absence of a guide does not exalt the visit allowing rude to write and/or engrave crap in several places. No need for special equipment and preparations to face the journey but I recommend comfortable sneakers.

  • Availability of bar with ice cream and coffee and clean bathrooms with SOAP and paper. Trails with views. A paid guide walk towards the Castle

  • The Castle stands on a rock of volcanic origin that stands imposing on a plain, the view and the beautiful panorama in 360 degrees. The remains of the Castle are enhanced by a very well looked after. His story is quite fascinating.

  • very nice place to visit and not to be missed. the price is absolutely negligible when compared to the duration (fully at the discretion of the visitor) and the quality of the visit (historical, cultural and environmental). The bar service offers coffee and soft drinks and some snacks, to recharge before heading back home, happy to be were guests for a day of count Ugolino
