  • The Gallery remains a must for visitors who want to immerse themselves in the art and culture of Siena. The beauty and richness of the works in it kept careful and conscious are worth a visit. I suggest using the app that provides a reproduction and a description of the exhibits (accessed by logging on to the network). While giving a positive assessment of the pitfalls remain marginal, not:-the preparations are, in my opinion, improvable: some works are poorly lit or illuminated with lights that emit annoying reflections, also lack English descriptions on sheets; -in periods of low attendance, access to certain portions of the Museum is prevented due to lack of staff. I would recommend asking if the Gallery is open spaces before you pay your fare, although the only visit of the second floor is certainly access. I just want to say I found a bit irritating the long and loud talk to the cell of one of the caretakers and some waste paper found on the ground. That said, I don't understand how it is that this great little Museum is practically deserted while the outside is teeming with tourists.

  • The national art gallery is a little treasure little known to most attracted perhaps by the beauty of the Cathedral or piazza del campo. Within many works of mostly school starting in the middle ages Tuscany that arrive to the present day. Many masterpieces, don't miss it. If you want to take some pictures, it's worth there is a ticket to pay more than the ticket, small compared to the pleasure to take away a souvenir photo of one of the most beautiful museums of Tuscany.

  • I am back, after at least three decades, this gallery features an amazing collection of works, in particular for the XIII and XIV centuries. Although Saturday afternoon were just six to sneak through the rooms, dimly lit or poorly lit, while the streets outside were crowded with tourists for a ride. On the other hand the poor staff, works poorly equipped despite great value, the depressing conditions of Museum didn't entice certainly none. ... Because Director and conservative don't visit the complex of Santa Maria della Scala just off to give a updating everything? It's a shame that a collection so extraordinary seems forgotten by the Ministry of culture and from Siena!

  • Amazing collection of masterpieces.
  • Supposed to be open till 13:00 on Sundays but they turned us away at 11:45. So sad we missed it.
  • A definite place to visit in Siena, art takes your breath away though if you disabled call before to find out if the electric stair lift work. I could not go to the second floor

  • You must love the religious art, otherwise it's a bit repetitive ;-) Beautiful pieces from 13 ° s which had to inspire Klimt ;-)
