  • I've been twice after many years and I remember with pleasure. Host plants of different environments, medicinal plants, some greenhouses. Shady boulevards and benches to relax (or meet the ghost Between Giomo Dell'Orto botanico?). Very large, sloping, and descending descending you arrive at the base of the Valley, with an old source (one of many lesser known Sienna), the small pond with water lilies, and walking a stretch of city walls. The botanical gardens and the "local" nature of Siena are mixed in a suggestive way. To see, to a Siena with something unreal and suspended, a Gossamer charm in a town of its magic!

  • good selection of tropical plants and exotic trees, entry is free and the visit really interesting going near closing time you can expect to catch a glimpse of the spirit of Mattioli which seems to drain plugs between the leaves

  • A stone's throw from the Church of St. Augustine, you won't go wrong. Some ran out of info but I do accompany squirrels in visit 👍

  • Although not well known, this ancient horto botanico has an incredible charm, for its location to the botanical species present.
