Here together there is an accumulation of artifacts, fossils, taxidermied animals, tools, studies, books, illustrations, etc., sets that rarely are around in museums: there are pieces of meteorite, examples of deformed animals, a whale skeleton, Etruscan, human anatomical studies, hundreds of stuffed birds, insects, invertebrates, mammals and much more ... and all this is free, in the heart of the beautiful Siena. , the greatest!

  • Nice because it preserves the charm of the old museums. In particular I found very interesting and unique exhibition of reproductions in clay of mushrooms.

Where to stay in Siena

To enjoy panoramic views of Siena's historical old town, check into a luxury hotel in the city center. If you are looking to escape the activity of the main tourist areas, consider staying at a hostel or guesthouse just outside the central areas. Private multi-room villas in the residential neighborhoods offer landscaped outdoor space and secure parking. For something a little different and considerably less expensive, explore one of many B&Bs in the vineyards and olive groves of Siena's countryside.
