We visited the Vendicari reserve in mid-August. Led by several readings over the internet, we decided to go on the beach of Mackinnon. Once you have parked your car (parking costs € 4.5 retrievable purchasing products in the kiosk), you have to set out on a long stretch of dirt road, recommended the use of sunscreen. Once you get to the beach you can admire the sea and pristine and the expanse of sand totally free. I must point out that these are Beach frequented by nudists. Highly recommended.

I have read several complaints of users disappointed from the beach of vendicari because they found her ' dirty ' algae ... I would submit that this is a nature reserve, so you won't find the classic tractor that takes away the Poseidonia; If there is at the beach and the sea stays there and stop. Also there is no of bins for rubbish, what goes to the beach if the door back and throws it in the bins just after the exits! And rightly so. Let's talk instead of a breath away from the average tourist, ignorant and dirty in the sense that at the beach I saw containers (small) for throwing harmful butts. Unfortunately the latter I watched used to put other trash like beer bottles!!! Anyway if you want to go there, you can also use the last entry and take the junction to the beach of San Lorenzo, arrive at the crossroads inside and take a left, then the 9 ^ Street on the right and to the bottom of car parking at €3 per day. Now walk, you will reach the caretaker's cottage on the left of the reserve and you're in! Enjoy the Sun, sea and not dirty these wonders. Doesn't take much!

The beach of Vendicari is a disgrace, an expanse of algae that do not allow easy access to the sea and a sulfur stench unbearable. The explanation given by the person at the entrance that asked and noted where the programme was that it is a natural reserve the Beach cannot be touched. Dear my reserve managers, if you cleaned the beach people would be happier and not run away from the beach. Also clean doesn't mean destroying nature, however just a few hundred metres the Calamosche beach is cleaner, but it should be limited, has better instit. move towards the less famous of these beaches, Eleura offering a clean sea, long beach and less crowding, too bad there are services in support of these Italian Splendors
