  • We had to be lucky in very good weather almost alone in the ruins. Only a few wild dogs accompanied us during the exploration. Fantastic motives for the shooting are. The place must have been once very beautiful, the scenery is gorgeous. We never seen anything comparable, and this experience will not soon forget.

  • Truly a piece of history to the ruins of Poggio reale. Time seems to have stopped on 15 January 1968. One wonders throughout the duration of the guided tour: who knows the residents what they tried, seen, heard.

  • Wandering this ghost town in full the Belice Valley, between the provinces of Trapani, Palermo and Agrigento, is a unique sensation: a mixture of concern and amazement among the ruins which seem still exude pain and mystery, almost 50 years since that damn earthquake. Access is prohibited to danger collapses, but by a group of local volunteers who are working to make available the site as a tourist attraction and to secure what remains of the country, can be guided safely.

  • Very impressive place to visit. The only flaw is that when I was there I (may 2016), yet was not adequate to receive tourists (crumbling buildings and rubble everywhere). Not suitable for children.

  • Very impressive site. Unfortunately overgrown.

  • Silence and rubble, what sadly remains after a disaster.

  • Awesome to be there ... All frozen in 1968 on the day of the earthquake
