  • a truly unique experience. the Belice earthquake destroyed it and nature is slowly recovering possession. the houses were abandoned by man and go silent and dark streets is a crazy feeling. with contempt of danger you can get into some habitation not overly dangerous but the thing that most strikes are remnants that are were satisfied with everything about a life that no longer exists. truly a thrill

  • A place where time has stopped way back in ' 68, when the whole area of Belize was hit by a terrible earthquake. The country suffered serious collapses of PoggioReale, which brought the country to the abandonment. Today the city is, in theory, closed to the public, in fact there are bans on transit throughout the neighborhood. However it can get from the various roads. The atmosphere of neglect and silence leaves visitors speechless. The rubble and buildings still partly standing leave no doubt about the power that can have nature. For all lovers of unusual places is definitely a destination from nn Miss.

  • Visit the ruins of Poggioreale is a nice experience because there all stopped at the famous earthquake of Belize and for lovers of history, architecture and urbanism is good to see the structures of the past. In the main square there is a structure with even the word "dux", some old school, there is the old butcher shop with meat hooks hanging out next to the entrance, the fish market with the counter in masonry on the outside. In many homes remained hand painted ceilings, plaster cornices, churches and there is also the old mill. I hope that this city is in safety condition and open to the public.

  • An impressive place frozen on that day of the earthquake. It is also the location of some films of Tornatore!
