  • We're here for the passion for archaeological finds. MUSEUM: 4/5 stars, really nice, well organized, divided in rooms arranged chronologically, individual exhibits were well stated and described, the Museum staff knows how to give good advice on the visit. EXCAVATIONS: 1 star, the excavations should be the most important element, instead result overlooked, no indication about what you are observing, there is no beginning, there is a minimal care not let visitors "barbarians" to go maybe to trample the mosaics or sit on the steps of the House, in short not well cared for and valued. difficult to achieve because not indicated by road signs, parking lots that appear in the open countryside, bathrooms without lighting both the male and the female.

  • This is not the first time that I visit it, but every time I go in Sibari (on this occasion for the reopening of the Archaeological Park) I'm doing a side trip. The property was recently enlarged to an area where they will be exposed the latest materials from the excavations and held conferences. The quality of the exhibits of the Museum is not discussed. La storia di Sibari Sibari and it's all here.

  • in most of the history of Sybaris and Italian is enclosed in this immense treasure site, it is the Museum that encompasses all the treasures of the city of Sybaris (though often gets snubbed by its inhabitants) and is highly recommended a visit if you're in town. The staff are always very friendly and there are always many discounts and benefits that can be seen on various tourist sites, in General, however, is a museum much economy when compared to the amount of things you can see.

  • Just take any vocabolario della lingua italiana and look for the entry ' Sybaritic ' to begin to discover something interesting but just visiting this museum you can see what made him so famous this city in the ancient world

  • I found an attendant who makes very good and we talked about putting a paid Guide. The ticket cost is negligible 3 euros.
