  • A beautiful tour of a place that gathers all the most fascinating Karst features including a foiba. Vegetation and small fauna

  • On the karst plateau is a small OASIS vegetable rich in many species typical of our Karst. The entrance is very cheap, great guides will satisfy every request and curiosity and inside there is a small artificial lake that helps rebuild the habitat. The garden is a little hard to get to but well worth a visit!

  • The Carsiana Botanical Garden was created by two pharmacists, 60 years, and was gradually expanded and enriched with government grants, first provincial, then regionals. In the garden, situated in a deep valley, were recreated environments typical of the karst and Trieste coast: the oak forest, wetland, the rock garden, Mediterranean shrubs and, right at the entrance, "orto dei semplici" — cultivation of medicinal plants of various types, including wormwood, fennel, horseradish, lemon etc. visited the garden in these days of extreme heat and drought certainly not the best time to enjoy its beauty. I suggest, then, a visit in spring, when plants are in bloom, or in autumn, when the shrubs become a palette of colors from yellow to red to Orange, a real looker. Ideal for school trips and educational visits. .
