  • Opening dinner Host Lions club of Alexandria September 2017. The Abbey, the former seat of Benedictine monks in the 11th century, is gorgeous. The owner was very helpful in guiding us in the visit when we went to book the event. The location is stunning both for events such as weddings, communions, baptisms, whether for a romantic dinner. The dinner was well balanced, with an opening cocktail accompanied by quality wines. The staff was very professional. In short: everything perfect.

  • Taken by friends my wife and I visited this Abbey, the former seat of Benedictine monks in the 11th century. The church saw its heyday in the 12th and 13th centuries then went into decline. In 1810 Napoleon entrusted, together with its lands, to veterans of the Napoleonic wars, then crashed, also became barn. In 1863 was purchased by Senator Frascara and began the revival of the place. The Church preserves Romanesque (11th century). The plan of the Church is cruciform commissa, architecture quite rare at the time. The presbytery of the apse is raised. On the vault of the apse are frescoes of the fifteenth century. Under the presbytery is a crypt, the floor is mosaic. Beautiful location for weddings, because adjacent Villa Badia, specialising in receptions even in the large surrounding park. The entire structure is truly exceptional. Also the staff are very helpful

  • Finally the third visit we managed to get inside the Abbey Church: beautiful, aisles in Gothic style, with frescoes quite well preserved in the Central apse of the late medieval and a crypt below the sanctuary, much older, with a nice black and white geometric patterns pavement. Next to the church a complex now used as a venue for lunches and ceremonies, very well maintained and surrounded by a magnificent park with mature trees. In short, a place not to be missed in the peaceful countryside of Alexandria.
