  • Reached St. Angelo with the bus nr. 1, the pedestrian street which crosses the headland and descend to the Maronti, is constant source of panoramic views. From here, along the beach, you reach Cava Scura, a long gully created by the time leading to the old Roman Taerme, worthy of a visit. Going down her throat almost to the sea, without reporting any, right in front of a restaurant with pergola, whose name I seem to remember, has to do with "stop ... "on the left begins a path that leads to Serrara and Fontana. A trail pretty hard, sometimes even winding between rocks that force of clinging to ropes placed in order. In short, a path not for everyone and not deal with flip-flops. I traveled alone, since up to almost 500 mt. Serrara Fontana, passing through beautiful places such as "White Lace", formations candide processed by time; an open air museum that with Cava Scura immerses you in the antiquity of an island while still young. At the end of the path, after about 2 hours of continuous rise, here is the belvedere, the bus much sought after. The circular right, a spot next to the window, a journey of about 40 minutes, going over to St. Angelo and Forio in order I'm back in Lacco Ameno, tired but happy, with puffy eyes of memories.

  • Was an exciting experience at times dangerous due to slippery road ... There is no doubt that need appropriate clothing, but you really go at it!

  • Ischia is extraordinarily beautiful and charming! Every year I know of the corners of the island leaving you speechless ... the rock formations of the white laces are an example: little limestone canyons that run along the slope overlooking maronti Beach and Sant'Angelo. The route is pretty demanding and sometimes dangerous, due to the high slope, but with shoes and appropriate equipment also becomes fun. The show of offering is truly breathtaking: from the top you can admire the beach of maronti and the promontory of Sant'Angelo, cava scura and other cave you meet along the way, in addition to some caves (derived probably from farmers to act as a deposit or even to the harvest ...). In short, if you have an ounce of sense of adventure and don't suffer from Vertigo, the excursion to the white lace I recommend.
