  • The building is very nice and you can imagine the characters of the time, the powerful medici family. There is a beautiful place and Museum of popular art.

  • Built by Cosimo I between 1560 and 1564 and born as a vacation spot for the Grand Duke, the Palace was fortified as a defensive military structure, given the strategic location of Versilia and the presence of precious marble quarries in the area. UNESCO World Heritage, nestled in a beautiful park and garden, this majestic and austere building today is the seat of the municipal library and the work and popular culture Museum of historical Versilia. Inside were collected after a long and fruitful work of documentation and research objects, tools and fixtures, without taking space in important exhibitions of modern and contemporary art.

  • The most famous monument of Seravezza is the Medici Palace, erected by the Medici family in the 16th century: it was probably the architect Buontalenti to build it. With a simple but evocative has a beautiful courtyard with well. Right above this pit lie two small columns joined by a lintel where the marble trout is placed between two spheres. This trout was put on the means to celebrate the capture of a 13 lb trout, caught by Grand Duchess Maria Cristina in Ruosina in 1603, where it still exists a stone commemorating the event.

  • Visited on the occasion of the retrospective of Franco Fontana under Seravezza 2016 Photography. I was speechless for both locations that obviously for the photo exhibition. I hope I can attend to other initiatives of this kind.
